Biography:
Two-Face, also known as Harvey Dent, is a fictional supervillain appearing in DC Comics publications. He was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and first appeared in Detective Comics #66 (August 1942).
Before becoming a criminal, Harvey Dent served as the district attorney of Gotham City. He was a dedicated and effective prosecutor, earning the nickname "Apollo" for his good looks and reputation. Dent formed an alliance with Batman and Commissioner Gordon to combat organized crime.
Dent's transformation into Two-Face stemmed from a traumatic attack by Sal Maroni, a gangster he was prosecuting. Maroni threw acid at Dent during a trial, horribly scarring the left side of his face. Driven insane by the disfigurement and feeling betrayed by the justice system, Dent adopted the persona of Two-Face.
Two-Face's modus operandi involves making decisions based on the flip of a two-headed coin, one side of which is scarred like his face. The coin dictates whether he will perform a good deed or commit a crime, reflecting the duality of his personality.
